Carter Lyons '21 Recruiting Profile

When I was 4 years old, I started t-ball in Little League and haven’t looked back.  At age 8, I joined the Chico Aces travel ball team while simultaneously playing Little League.  When this high school season concludes, I will start my 10^th year playing with the Chico Aces.

I’m a pure righty and my primary position is short stop, with a stint this year at 2^nd base for my Varsity team.  The last two years in high school, I have contributed to two JV League Championships while batting .361 in my sophomore year with 30 hits.  Also, as a sophomore last year, I received a late season call up to join our Varsity team as we took the Conference and Section Championships.  I also received the Mr. Viking Award (Leadership Award) in my sophomore campaign.  I am very vocal on the field and consistently show leadership.  I like to play with passion, heart and excitement.  I am very excited to help contribute to this year’s team as the only junior starter.

When not on the field you can catch me spending time with my brother and parents, hanging out with friends (which is usually at a batting cage), working out or being as active as possible. 

My goal is to continue to play baseball at the collegiate level while continuing my education.  I would potentially like a career in chiropractic care, although I’m undecided at this time.
