A major collegiate goal of mine is to find a college which fits my interests academically, one which will allow me to pursue my major of preference, and a college that will give me the chance to take my baseball dream to the next level. Secondly, an aspiration for me in college and in collegiate baseball is to find a team which will allow me to contribute and represent, respectively, both on and off the field.
What makes me a good candidate for any team is my willingness to implement any advice into my game whether it may seem difficult for me to execute or not, as well as my complete and total buy in to the coach's and the team's style of play.
One thing that makes me different from other candidates is definitely the school and work ethic of the baseball team at my high school. To play baseball at Oxford is a huge commitment and very taking from other things in life such as family time or time to work on all the homework we have. We practice 3 hours a day year round. Also, because the school is small in number, we don't get many people who play the game. So, with the limited numbers and the large commitment, I was able to gain a great amount of varsity exposure during my freshmen year. This is another thing that makes me different from other freshmen candidates. So, in character you must be strong minded to do 3 hours of practicing and also come home and have to do a couple hours of the academics every night, it's a price most student athletes at Oxford accept, including me. Academically, Oxford is ranked very high nationally and in the state of California which making the workload challenging and extensive. However, I chose to rise up to the challenge and have decided to spend high school there. So far I feel I have done well there. Ultimately, these are the things that separate me from other recruits.
