Being a young man that is immersed in baseball and my education, I enjoy learning and growing every day both on and off the field. My passion for the game of baseball in addition to my drive to succeed in everything I dedicate my efforts to has allowed me to play and excel in the game I love and academically. As far back as I can remember, I have always been determined to work hard to achieve my goal of playing baseball at the collegiate level.
In my primary position of catcher, I have good foot work and placement, create good angles, and keep the ball close when blocking, fast arm with solid transfers and my throws are on the money. As a catcher, I enjoy the leadership aspect of the position and enjoying encouraging my teammates. I have an extremely high overall baseball IQ. I have a great athletic build and I am dedicated to continuing to improve my strength to achieve my athletic goals. I am personally committed to being the hardest working player on the field and look forward to continuing to grow as an athlete.
I am dedicated to working hard throughout the year developing my baseball skills by playing Fall, Summer, and Spring seasons for my high school baseball team. Playing for the Rawlings Tigers national travel team. I addition, I continue to develop my skills and strength as an athlete by attending prospect college camps, weekly training sessions with my catching/hitting trainers, weightlifting, speed and agility, and circuit training with my personal trainer.
I am just as dedicated to reaching my goals academically. I maintain a high GPA while taking honors courses and am currently finishing up my third year of foreign language. In my freshman year I was presented with the Outstanding Athletic Achievement Freshman Letter in Baseball, Scholar Athlete Award, and the Certificate of Excellence for outstanding academic performance. When I am not playing or training for baseball, I enjoy volunteering my time with my family to serve and help people in need or by helping through the church.
I would really enjoy attending a college where I can be an asset to the baseball program and truly make a difference, while challenging myself to reach my highest potential academically. I am open to all options and look forward to growing and developing along the way. I am excited for the future and to work hard toward being the best scholar/athlete I can be, one who will make a difference and inspire everyone around me.
