Anthony Conlon '21 Recruiting Profile

My goals are to play a higher level of baseball. Ever since I started playing baseball, I fell in love with the game and how it made me feel when I was on the diamond. I feel that seeking a higher education and playing baseball at the same time for me would really be a dream come true. Through baseball, I've learned how to be disciplined. I have also learned to be more patient, and to focus on the fundamentals. I've learned that making mistakes is part of the game of baseball, and that I must fail to succeed. I am striving to graduate high school with a 3.1 GPA or better. For college, I wish to maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher. I not only want to succeed in the athletic portion of my college career, but the academic portion as well. I am a great leader, being a catcher, I have to be. I command the whole baseball diamond, but I also know how to put a pitcher at ease, and I really take liberty in learning my pitching staff, finding out which pitches a pitcher likes to throw in certain situations, and just making the team as a whole feel comfortable, I crack jokes and keep it fun, but I am also able to put in the work it takes to win and be competitive.
