Winning the league championship as a Sophomore has been the highlight of my high school career so far. However, I feel I developed more during the summer after my Freshman year when I went from a backup infielder to a starting 3rd baseman. This experience helped me grow not only as an athlete, but also helped me in the classroom and showed me the dedication that is needed to be put in to make it to the next level.
Because I have been undersized during my many years of playing baseball, I have been overlooked by many coaches. I think this has helped me as a player throughout the years because this allows me to prove myself to my coaches over and over again which only gets me better and more prepared for the next stage in my career. I am looking for programs that will make me a better athlete and a better student as well. Over that summer after Freshman year I learned the importance of teamwork, dedication, and being a leader on and off the field. I believe that I have not only the skills to compete at the next level, but the work-ethic and the character. As a great teammate and captain, I know exactly what it takes to be a leader and make an immediate impact on your team.
