My name is Jack Cunial, and my first memories of baseball are playing Little League, trips to see the San Francisco Giants, and then listening to them on KNBR radio before I fell asleep.
I am in the class of 2023 at Sierra High School, located in Central CA. When I am not playing high school baseball, I also play high school football and basketball to stay conditioned. Between sports, I play on a travel team. My main positions in baseball are outfield, right-handed pitcher, and infield (utility). My junior year I was selected as first team outfielder in our Valley Oak League and received our team’s best defensive player award.
My long-term goal is to play baseball in college and major in something that allows me to have a career in physical therapy. My short-term goals are to continue to work hard my senior year to increase my strength, speed, and size. My stats can be found on my profile. I have a 3.75 GPA and have strengths in math and science.
Many things motivate me in baseball. I always have personal goals to improve in my game and I find fulfillment in the success of my team. As a freshman, I remember looking up to the juniors and seniors and appreciated the attention and support the upper classmen gave me. Now that I am the older senior, I hope I am paying it forward for my team as I meet with younger players on weekends to help them hit, pitch, and catch.
My dream is to be invited to play for a college team which recognizes my character, commitment, and teamwork.
Sincerely,
Jack Cunial
