Lamar Merritt Jr. '18 Recruiting Profile

I was born with a gift that most people do not have. I had to overcome an issue with my hearing and I had tubes in my ear during my first 4 years and I overcame that issue by having a simple surgery procedure to implant the tubes and then a few years later remove them. Since that time I have always excelled in school and in sports.  When I was three years old my dad bought me a bat and ball and he pitched to me and I hit it clearly over a two story roof. At that time my dad knew I had something special and since that time I have been playing baseball with the Pony League, Babe Ruth, and Travel Ball teams. 

As far as my character I am a very considerate loving and humble young man and I care and respect people, my academic ability is that I am very versatile and I learn very quickly.  This is what makes me a good candidate for this program. Thank you very much for your time and consideration coaches.
