I love to play baseball and have always competed well as a hitter and pitcher.
Here is my record at El Dorado High School:
Sophomore: I received SacBee All Metro team honorable mention for high school outfielders, and was picked Most Valuable Player for the Sierra Valley Conference. I led the league in batting average, runs, OBP, slugging percentage and home runs, with more home runs than strikeouts. As a pitcher, I led the league in wins and strikeouts, and section wide led sophomores in home runs and slugging percentage.
Junior: I was in the top 25 for all California pitchers in strike-outs, and tied for 2nd among juniors in the state. Hitting, I led the league in RBI's, was second in home runs and made all league. Sac-Joaquin Section-wide, I was 3rd among all juniors for RBI's (35), tied for 3rd in home runs (3) and pitching wins (9), and struck out more batters than any other junior pitcher (106) while walking 12 batters.
Senior: I earned All-State Baseball First Team honors from Maxpreps for small schools as Outfielder; All-State First Team by Cal-Hi (Medium Schools) for hitting/pitching, was a Cal-Hi player of the week for Northern California, and was named to Sac Bee All Metro first team as a pitcher. I was picked league MVP and had more home runs than strike outs. I improved in batting average (.490) home runs (5), and RBI's (47), and as a pitcher was 11-2 with a 1.74 ERA. I led the Sierra Valley Conference in 8 categories: batting average, home runs, slugging percentage, RBI's, OBP, and in pitching, strike outs, ERA and wins, and led section in RBI’s (7th in California), and was tied for first in pitching wins (tied for 8th in California.)
Academically, I take a tough course load that includes advanced placement classes, have a 4.0 GPA and finished 26 of 308 in my class. My SAT was 1340, superscored at 1370.
Overall, I have worked hard to balance baseball and schoolwork, and would like to use both to get into a college that is the best fit. I was proud to help our team get to Section finals this year and hope to do the same for my next college team.
