My name is Danielle Jastrab; I am an extremely hard worker with a great work ethic. I have overcome great adversity; in my family life. My older was brother spent over 3 months in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in septic shock. I watched him struggle to live; and then go through a grueling immediate recovery period, which was at least a year. The immediate recovery was then transitioned into long-term rehabilitation. Four years ago, my older sister, who had a double scholarship in athletics, was in a car accident. She sustained a head bleed and has had multiple ICU admits over the past several years. Her recovery has been difficult; however, she has a never-quit attitude. Because of these experiences, I have learned the importance of family, perseverance, and hard work. I am a coachable, teachable, hardworking, never-quit student and athlete. No matter how hard something is; I will do it, regardless of my personal circumstances. I achieved a 4.0 Grade Point Average (GPA), and have met all academic requirements set forth by the NCAA academic. I am also in the top 20 of my high school class.
I have participated in three varsity sports each year of high school; in which I have earned 8 varsity letters. Additionally, 4 all-league golf patches, In 2019 and 2021 I was all-league and conference in the SVC Division (Sierra Valley Conference) for golf. Personally, I plan on receiving three more varsity letters my senior year. During the summer, I plan to play many tournaments on the first tee of Sacramento. Over the past 3 years, I have also had private instruction for Golf focusing on swinging, putting, and short games at Cold springs country club.
My collegiate goals include playing golf for an NCAA golf team. I am a team player, who is coachable. Personally, I would love to lead my team for a national title for an NCAA school; This has been a goal I have had since I was young. After college, my goal is to play in the WPGA tour and become a professional golfer.
