As a 2024 grad, I play with the 2023 and 2022 showcase teams in my club. This has given me a chance to face pitching in the mid-to-upper 80's routinely and to compete against players at a high level. In Jan-Mar, 2021 I attended two PBR showcase events in California (Scout Day and San Diego Open). I was named to the Fab Five Freshman list for the 2024 class and invited to the PBR Futures Games in Georgia for Team California. As an incoming Freshman, my metrics were 85mph IF/OF velo, 90mph exit velo and a 7.07 60-yd. I am awaiting the PBR rankings to be posted. I have not done a PG showcase since late 2020 where at that time I was ranked in the top 90 in CA (top 25 as a SS). I plan to do another event soon as my metrics have improved. I'm currently a SS for Force Baseball, and part of the Force Prime showcase team. Here I play monthly in some of the most competitive tournaments available. This includes an annual schedule of ~5 PG tourneys, multiple Prospect Wire tourneys, Pathway Baseball and the AZ Fall Classic (amongst others like USA Baseball). Our Force team took 3rd place in the PG Freshman Fall Nat'l Championships. In the fall (Sep 2020), I competed in the Pathway Arizona Tournament playing up in the 17U division where I was named to the All Tournament Team (one of only 46 players out of 500+). We earned 3rd, losing to the overall champ in the semi's. Rounding out the fall, we took 2nd place at the Easton AZ Fall Classic, playing at the main stadium in Peoria.
I've been a top performer while playing up in age. For the 2019 calendar year (Jan - Sept), the Force 2023 team competed in 130 games. Over that span, (playing up a grade) I ranked in the top players offensively batting over .375 with > 170 plate appearances. In the following summer/fall (2020) while playing up with the 2022/2023 class I again hit > .375 with a 1.1 OPS over 45 tourney games played.
As an incoming Freshman, I was offered the opportunity to play-up on Varsity on the High School team. As of this writing (April, 2021), we are 14 games into the season and have accomplished the following statistically:
Hitting:
.561 AVG (50 PA / 41 AB)
1.494 OPS, .640 OBP, 23 Hits (8 2B, 2 3B), 1K
Pitching:
* Threw a No Hitter (7 IP, 0 Hits, 0 Runs, 13 K's, 2BB)
* 20 IP, 1.40 ERA , 20 K's, only 4 Hits
I am a SS/MIF primarily but I also excel at almost any position (I'm currently a 2-way player). I'm looking forward to applying myself towards college entrance and working hard at academics and athletics. I appreciate you taking the time to read my personal statement.
