Baseball has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. It has always been a goal of mine to play baseball in college. In addition to playing soccer and basketball through eighth grade, I have played baseball since I was three years old. These experiences have taught me work ethic, dedication, time management and teamwork.
While being faced with challenges, as many have, I look at adversity as opportunities to grow and persevere. Through the highs and lows of my experiences, it has pushed me as a student-athlete to strive for continual improvement. This mindset has helped me academically and athletically.
I am a good candidate for a college baseball program. Being a versatile player is one of my strengths. I enjoy playing infield and outfield. I have played a lot of outfield, second base, third base, and shortstop. These opportunities have allowed me to develop a good glove. In order to continue growing, I continue to work extra on strengthening, hitting, fielding, speed, and throwing.
I believe I have what it takes to play baseball in college. I am open minded about the colleges, as long as it suits me and my needs. I am aspiring to study Sports Medicine or a related field in college in order to stay connected to my passion with sports. My long term goal is to own a physical therapy or training center for athletes. To begin preparing for this, I have taken a Sports Medicine course at my high school along with extra science courses and will continue to build volunteer hours to help prepare myself.
