Diego Carrillo '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Diego Carrillo, I have been playing competitive golf ever since I was 7 years old. Golf has played a big role in my family and I'm proud to be carrying on this amazing sport that has run in my family for 3 generations. My biggest achievement was qualifying for the 2019 Teen Van Horn Cup for the international team representing my hometown Mexico City. I took a break from golf from 2020-2022 and recently rediscovered my love for the sport and I am looking forward to achieving my dreams I once had as a kid. I am a good candidate as I am a team player and a hard worker. I will not leave the gym or practice range until I am satisfied with the work I have put in for that day. I also keep my emotions neutral throughout the round which helps me stay focused on the next shot rather than the last one. I would like to go into the Criminal justice field in order to become an FBI agent. I lived in Mexico for 14 years and speak Spanish fluently.
