Personal Statement

Hi Coaches,

I would like to thank you for taking the opportunity to learn about me as a student, athlete and person.  School is extremely important to me because academic growth is necessary for future success.  I am looking to grow academically in addition to another goal I have set for myself.  That goal is to compete in baseball at the collegiate level.  During my freshman year, I have achieved a 3.35 grade point average with a goal to continually improve that average.  Being a goal oriented student-athlete, I have set a goal of attending college where I can grow athletically and academically.

I have excelled in a variety of sports which I began playing as a child.  Although I have had success including all-star recognition competing in a variety of sports including basketball, soccer, volleyball, and football, my love has always been baseball.  Baseball has been my main sport since I was four years old.  I have had success throughout my baseball career including multiple all-star selections, competing across the western United States in travel ball, and most recently during our High School league championship season, leading my team in on-base percentage, runs, and stolen bases.  With my primary focus of competing in baseball, I have continued to compete in and enjoy other sports such as football, soccer, and volleyball.  My participation in these sports has taught me leadership, sportsmanship and how to be the best teammate which contributed to my selection as team captain of my high school baseball team.  These are specific attributes that I am looking to take to the college level.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
