Baseball, the sport that I love, has shown me tough love through the years and has taught me how to work hard for the things that I want, to use everyone’s criticisms as fuel to drive me toward my goals, and to stay dedicated to my dreams no matter how hard it gets. I have been the new guy on many teams and that has taught me to work hard, to persevere, and to be a team player. I am 6’2” and 175 pounds with a very athletic build, due to the weight training I have been doing in the off seasons throughout high school. Over the years I have gotten a lot stronger and I have seen the effect it has on my game. This has driven me to want to learn as much as I can about the human body and how to get stronger in a baseball-specific manner. My long term goal is to be a physical therapist so that I can help people get stronger after they get hurt so they can get back to their normal life and the activities they enjoy.
In order to reach my goals, I am interested in attending a JC or mid- to smaller-sized college at which I can focus on my studies, work on my long term goal of becoming a Physical Therapist and play baseball at the college level. Although I prefer to stay on the west coast due to my family, friends, and my love of outdoor activities, I am open to opportunities at colleges that meet my academic and baseball goals while supporting my outdoor interests. I know that I can make a big impact to your baseball program due to my speed and my strength. I am the fastest baseball player at my high school. I am a power hitter who hits strong line drives. When I don’t hit the ball out of the infield, I am either out or safe by a step. My strong arm, quick reactions, and speed allow me to get to the ball quickly to give me the best chance to make plays, which makes me a great asset in the field.
Outside of baseball and school I like hiking, bike riding, kayaking, and learning how to do weird things like teaching myself to ride a unicycle.
I am a hardworking, persistent person who is willing to do what it takes to get better and get my degree. I believe in being a team player and doing what it takes to support the team: I am always the first person on the field and the last to leave. I will be a great asset on your team and I will make a positive impact on your baseball program.
