Personal Statement

I am a girl baseball player who found my love for this sport ever since I started playing at age five. I was always determined to be better than the boys and worked my way up from little league to travel ball to now competing at the varsity level for my high school. Being a girl in a male dominant sport may feel pressuring sometimes since there is eyes on me 24/7, but I have learned it is a positive thing because I stand out more. Over time, my confidence has grown and I have become a leader who not only leads by voice, but by example too. I have been invited five times in the past three years by mlb to play at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach, Florida and have been trained by former mlb players. I have also played in Australia and had the opportunity to train in Japan twice.

I may not have the fastest fastball, but I have good demeanor, control, and strong off speed pitches that keep the hitters off balance. My goal is to play at the next level and be the best player/teammate I can be. I currently have a 3.4 GPA while taking different challenging AP classes. I am looking for a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I am the captain of my high school varsity baseball team and I know I have what it takes to be a leader on your team.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
