John Nauertz '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is John Nauertz ( pronounced Norts).  I've been playing baseball since I was 4 years old.  Over that time , I have come to love the game a whole lot, not only as a player but also as a fan.  Also, baseball has provided a lot of new friends along the way.  From coaches to teammates and even some of the player's parents are part of my baseball family that I still talk to today.  These people give me encouragement and a better understanding of life both within baseball as well as off the field.  Baseball has taught me that hard work and situational awareness are key.  These qualities can not only help you become a better ball player, but also a better person to those around you.  For me, as a teammate I need to back someone up on the field, but I also need to support them in their daily life as well.
