I absolutely love playing baseball! Being on the field is where I want to be, especially when I’m on the mound. It’s the perfect combination of elements - communicating with the coaches, catcher, and team around me and focusing to make every pitch right for the situation. I thrive under pressure. It’s when I’m at my best. I am highly motivated to continue playing in my college years and beyond.
I’m very coachable and I do a lot to work on my development. I train hard in the gym and have a variety of workout programs that I follow to help me maintain top physical condition well beyond the work on the high school field.
All team sports are interesting to me, so I’m frequently tuned in to see the top plays of the day. I also have fun playing fantasy football with friends.
On a personal level, I really love being with my family, especially when we’re traveling and eating dinner! Fishing with my brother and going on walks with my sister are great opportunities for me to unwind. Also, through volunteer work at school, I’ve gained sympathetic regard for the homeless and appreciate the opportunities to work in food prep for the soup kitchens and other meal services in the area.
