Jackson Dow '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'0, 180 lb catcher at Hart High School in Santa Clarita, CA. I am a dedicated, proactive student-athlete looking to make a difference at the next level. I have a strong arm (current pop time: 2.0) and contributed as a middle of the order hitter last season, providing 11 RBIs in 17 league games. I also filled a leadership role behind the plate by calling pitches, directing the field, and managing plays. In addition to playing for my high school, I've had the opportunity to represent the US at the Latin America Baseball Classic (LABC) in the Dominican Republic where I was selected ‘MVP’ by my coaches and teammates. I am currently also playing on a Pittsburgh Pirates SoCal Scout Team.

Off the field, I maintain a 4.5 GPA and am a member of the National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation. I volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club near my school and work as an umpire at my local PONY League complex.

I prefer to stay on the West Coast but I am open to other options. I’m interested in colleges with good schools of business and economics.

I’ve been playing baseball since I was a child, and I really enjoy the physical as well as the mental aspect of the game. I’m looking forward to continuing to make both offensive and defensive contributions to my team (high school and collegiate) in the coming years.
