Personal Statement

One thing that has influenced me in a very large way to play baseball to the best of my ability is when I played travel ball in the Dominican Republic. I saw all of those kids playing baseball whenever they could, and they always play as hard as they can even with sticks and milk jugs. That has influenced me to play as hard as I can, especially with having the privilege of having a proper field and gear. I have been playing baseball since I was three years old. Throughout all of Little League I wanted to quit, but my Dad pushed me and influenced me to never give up and keep playing. From playing baseball I have learned that teamwork and building each other up is very important. You can't have one guy get a bad attitude because he struck out, because the mood travels to the rest of the team.

My academic goals for these coming years are to keep good grades, do as many AP classes, clubs, and Honors classes as I can to try to rack up points towards college. The biggest obstacle that I have had to overcome throughout my baseball career, especially in Little League, was to never give up. I wanted to a lot of the time. I started doing District teams and club teams, and that's when I got very into it and it became a lifestyle. Now I can't put my glove down! Another thing that has challenged me is to keep up my faith while playing baseball every day. I have had to miss a lot of Sunday mornings because of double headers, and a lot of youth groups on Wednesday night because of batting practice. I believe I can be a huge support to a team, especially mentally. I will also be where you want me to be, when you want me to be there.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
