Hello, my name is Jaylen Oats. I am a highly motivated athlete that truly has a strong passion and love for the game. I started played Baseball when I was 4 years old and don't intend on stopping for many more years to come. I pride myself as a leader as well as a motivator for the other players on my team. I have been blessed to have had amazing coaches and a supportive family that completely supports my want and drive to play ball at the next level. I take my training very seriously on and off the field. I have been told by many coaches that I have an excellent Baseball IQ. After this year (my senior year) I will be a 4 year Varsity starter in baseball and football for my High School. In football I am the starting Quarterback for Strathmore High and I really love the game but Baseball is where my heart truly is. I play football and basketball to help stay in shape until baseball season comes back around. In Baseball I play multiple positions depending on the situation but a majority of the time I play short or 3rd base when I am not starting on the mound. I also close a majority of the games on the mound for my team. I see the ball very well and I pride myself on my discipline at the plate. I am good at getting pitcher counts up by battling and earn a lot of walks for my team. My goal is to join a good program with a supportive coaching staff that can help me get to the next level. I WILL always work 110% on and off the field to be the best ball player/person that I can be. Thank you for your consideration.
