Nyles Nygaard '14 Recruiting Profile

My Dream is to play baseball as long as I can. I will be a senior in high school this fall and have a passion for the sport. I want to continue playing at a Division I college and even pro after that. I love to play baseball and always looking to get better. I was a starter on the Freshmen team and the team captain,  as a sophomore & Jr. I was a Varsity Starter, this year I am a Varsity starter and I enjoy playing Travel Ball with Michael Garciaparra and the GBG. We won the Perfect Game Nationals tournament in AZ. this past year and I led our team with RBI's. I was named to the National All Tourney hitting team with the 2nd highest in RBI's.  The GBG team has won tournaments in California, Las Vegas, and Arizona. I am enjoying the college camps and showcases and like to meet new coaches.

We returned from the PG MLK tournament in AZ. We went 5 games undefeated to win the championships. I was named to the top 25 All Tourney team and was 2nd highest batter on our team. I play on a competitive travel team with players who are college commit. I hope to be that soon too. We were invited to the PG World Series in July 2013, and I was selected for GBG Junior Olympic team once again in Arizona June 21-29, 2013. I'm looking forward to this summer and fall (2013) on making the competitive teams again and compete at the next level. There is always something to learn in baseball! I'm ready for it.

This year I was invited and participated at the Milwaukee Brewers Area Code Tryout and was invited to participate in the 2013 Southwest Future All-Star Series where my team won the championship. I am looking forward to the recruiting process and to be able to play at the next level.. I was on the GBG USA NAtional JO team in AZ June 21-28, 2013 and led my team in hitting.

I will be competing with 2013 GBG Marucci once again at the Perfect Game/Evo Shield National Upper Classman in September at Arizona. and the PG World Championships in October at Jupiter, Florida.

I would like to attend a University that is known for their strong academic program. Not only is baseball a lifelong dream, working in the sports field and becoming successful through education is a priority.
