Alexis Wolfinger '25 Recruiting Profile

I have participated in many sports since I was a toddler.  I have played AYSO, EXTRA, and club soccer and high school soccer.  When I started high school, I decided to try cross country as my family has a long line of runners.  I fell in love with the team aspect instantly and knew this was my sport.  I played high school soccer my freshman and sophomore only, as I wanted to focus on running and my academics.  My freshman year of track, I won league in the 3200m, 1600m, and 800m for the Frosh team and had my favorite teammate by my side each race.  My sophomore year in track, I qualified for CIF prelims in both the 1600m and 3200m.  I made it to CIF finals in the difficult Southern Section in the 3200m.  Our 2023 XC team won the Pioneer League and finished 5th in the State. I just completed my junior season of track and I won league in the 1600m and 3200m.  I competed in CIF-SS prelims and qualified for CIF Finals in the 1600m (7th place) and 3200m (3rd place). During CIF Finals, I broke a nearly 20 year old school record in the 3200m by running a time of 10:47 and earned a spot to compete at the CIF-SS Masters Meet.  I am very much a team player, work hard, have a positive attitude and like to bring fun to all of my teams.  My goal is to run in college, excel in my academics, and continue to improve each year.  My long term goal is to continue my passion of running with me beyond college and through the rest of my life.
