Brayden Reed
D1/D1 2019 YUCAIPA HS
Strong frame.Weight and strength evenly proportioned . More legs than torso. Depth and strength thru upper chest and rounded shoulders. Good core body strength. Average length arms. Strong waisted with solid thigh and butt strength. Like body type for Catching position. Feet really work and quickness and lateral quickness very impressive.
Solid defensively as 2B/Catcher. Showed Average ML arm as Catcher with good hand snap and solid frontside bag throws . More length to throw hurt release times in 2.11-2.16 range but ability to adjust and adaptability skills help him both defensively and offensively. Solid 4.37 runner down line and ran a 7.25 -60 yd dash. Offensively really liked Potential in bat. His actions and how he gets body to load position. Sits on backside and was short to baseball. Really liked bat finish , stays connected to frame on initial contact. Palm up finish but on occasion will be very top handed in swing. This is a solid player . Value to play multiple positions and see as a guy that could hit high in order and be a solid 7-8 hitter. Like his package and his toughness.
