I started out playing hockey in a small club and it wasn't enough for me. Coaches and parents told me I wasn't able to move on to the next level and that just pushed me to work harder so I could. I went from playing A at a small club with no exposure, to playing AA and AAA(Tier one) hockey in a matter of 3 years.
I am in my 5th year of playing goalie. My goal is to play in the USHL, a high level D1 NCAA college and then I want to be drafted into the NHL. I think college hockey is a great way of helping me achieve my goal. I am a hardworking person and I never give up on anything. I understand that college will secure my future after hockey is over.
I am a hard working student. I am currently enrolled in AVID, a college bound program. School isn't easy when you miss so much for hockey. I have to constantly communicate with my teachers and stay on top of work that I miss. When I am traveling for hockey, homework and studying is whenever I have a free moment. I wouldn't have it any other way, beacause I see where school and hockey can take me in the future.
