Nicholas Lay '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nick Lay and my dream is to play college baseball and beyond. Baseball is my passion and my craft. Over the years I've learned not only to compete but to be a leader on and off the field. Ever since I started my baseball career at the age of 6, I knew I wanted to keep playing because I loved to compete and give my best every time I stepped on the field. Not only is my goal to play baseball at the collegiate level but to also achieve some sort of degree when I find the college right for me.  I value academics as much as I value athletics and have set high goals for myself for a career after college. When it comes to the game of baseball I always have a positive attitude, but also understand that being resilient through the challenges I will face in baseball and in life is just as important. I'm always pushing myself to get better and at the same time doing what I can to make my team successful.
