Hello, My name is Brady Bowman. I am a 2023 athlete attending Peak to Peak Charter School in Lafayette Colorado. As a 17 year old, I am 6'3" 160 lbs. and I am just beginning to fill in my frame. My world revolves around four significant areas: baseball, family, faith, and education. Each is important to me, but together, they hone me into that man I want to be and the player I can be in college.
I pride myself on being a two-way player. I am the starting center fielder on our varsity team. I also pitch and am a utility infielder. As a freshman, I made varsity. I am a switch hitter and hit 4-hole for both my spring HS and summer club teams (USA Prime West). I played U17 and U18 since my freshman year. I love the challenge working hard to compete against bigger and older teammates. Our high school program looks well-positioned to compete for Colorado state high school baseball finals for the first time in 5 years. We made the regionals in 2022 and I am optimistic about our chances in 2023.
My family and Christian faith are my greatest assets and supports. I have 2 cousins that play baseball. One is a pitcher at Metro State (DII) in Denver while the other will be a freshman in HS next year. I appreciate having a support network that other players( Family member) can provide. My coaches are extensions of the family as well. They remind me that baseball is a game of failure, but I choose to see it as a game of opportunity. Hard work, a supportive family and faith put you in the right place when you are ready to face the challenge.
I am very proud to attend Peak to Peak Charter School. My school is ranked #3 in the state of Colorado for academics by US News and World Reports; an award that has been hard earned for the last 10 years. I am currently enrolled in all honors and advanced classes including AP Statistical Analysis, Differential Equations and AP Psychology. I took my first PSAT in the Fall of 2018 and spring of 2021 and scored in the 94th percentile in Math, which fuels my interest in fields such as Mathematics and Business Finance. Our school gets a great deal of attention from the academic admission staff of many universities. Our students are said to be "extremely well prepared for the transition to college."
I enjoy other sports such as golf, running, and I competed with my school's cross-country team posting a personal best mile of 5:23. I pride myself in being a well- rounded athlete and enjoy other hobbies like playing my guitar and traveling.
Thanks,
Brady
