Baseball has been the most influential part of my life. It has taught me about life, friendship and teamwork. Baseball and life work together; failure happens in both. Baseball has taught me not only what failure feels like but how to fail and how to stand back up and learn from my failures. I know how to fail and not criticize myself but improve from that experience. Baseball has been the most important part of me learning to work with a team. I learned how to compromise and work with a team as one unit or a single organism. This has been important in my life thus far. I was interested in baseball from a young age. My dad was a big part of that interest. He brought a baseball glove to the hospital when I was born; we watch baseball together; he coached me for all of my little league years; and we both share the love and compassion for the game. We still watch baseball and discuss baseball all the time.My main goals for college is to play at the highest level possible for me. I also want to earn a degree in my intended major which is Computer sciences/Cybersecurity. College has always been a goal; I have had to overcome a countless obstacles and adversity. I have gone from my high school coach telling me I would never be a varsity-tier athlete to becoming a starter on his JV team as a freshman and then him putting me on varsity as a sophmore. The reason for this is my tireless work ethic and my perseverance. I have always be complimented on how hard I work on and off the field. Also, I am the player who my coaches can come to and ask to do something because I will do it. I am a responsible and dedicated worker. My work ethic and perseverance doesn't just apply to the baseball field. It applies to my everyday life and my school life. I work hard in my honors class and my other core classes to keep my grades and try and get better ones. It kills me if I have missing work or work that is not done. I need to have my work done and done right and that translated into my game.
