Trey Hartnett '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Trey Hartnett and I am high school class of 2023 at Fairfield Prep (Fairfield, CT).  I am a 6'4", 195 lb. right handed pitcher.  I am looking for a school with both a top academic reputation and a strong baseball program.   I am a dedicated student (3.67 GPA), member of the National Honor Society and active in my community.  

In August of 2021, after a strong summer on the mound, I decided to athletically focus on pitching.  This was a very difficult decision as it meant I was stepping away from the Fairfield Prep football team.  It also meant that I would step away from being a position player.  I began working with a pitching coach for the first time and quickly saw improvements in my mechanics, mental approach and overall fitness.

In the fall of 2021 and in search of a higher level of competition, I joined the East Coast Lumberjacks and was able to play in three fall tournaments with them.
