My collegiate goals are to pursue a degree in secondary education and to continue playing baseball at a competitive level. I would like to use this degree to become a high school history teacher. Once I'm out of college and have established a teaching career, I would like to get involved in coaching baseball. The thing that makes me different from other baseball players is that on and off the field I work hard to keep my grades at a B to A average. I stay to get extra help with a private tutor so I can excel in my classes. In the offseason for baseball I train 3 times a week minimum. This includes hitting 2 times a week at a training facility and practice with my high school and travel baseball team. Also this is my third year participating in indoor track. Having character is something that I believe in a lot. When making a bad play or not getting the job done I know I can't get down on myself because it could affect the team and even the outcome of the game. This includes encouraging other team mates or friends. Picking up others, digging deep, and working hard is a key to success. Some times you can have bad days but it's your attitude and your actions that can make a difference.
