Hello, my name is Sam DeMaio. I am a varsity baseball captain for Mark T. Sheehan High School in Wallingford, Connecticut and am graduating in 2017. My main goal going into my senior year is to be noticed and eventually commit to play college baseball. Above all else, I want to continue my education at the next level and receive a degree in my area of study. What separates me from other student athletes is my incredible drive to improve my skill set and academic intelligence no matter what it takes or how long it takes me. My work ethic and team-first mentality would improve the environment of any program. I am extremely vocal both on and off the field, always encouraging my teammates and friends. Also, I pride myself on keeping a level head and remaining focussed on the task at hand, disregarding any outside influences and distractions. Even during a rough day at the plate or in the field, the team's success is my main concern. Consistency is also a huge part in my game, and I will do anything to help the team win. I am looking forward to continuing my academic and athletic career in college
