For my sophomore year of college that began in September 2014, I transferred from St. John's University in Queens, NY to play baseball at Cochise College in the ACCAC (Arizona Community College Athletic Conference - A Division 1 Junior College Wood Bat League). I chose Cochise because of their winning tradition and to play for coach Todd Inglehart. Our team has enjoyed great success in the regular season with a first place finish (Conference 27-9) and an overall record of 42-14. Cochise just won a 3 game semi-final series and will play a 3 game series for the District 1 Championship beginning Thursday May 7, 2015. The latest NJCAA national poll of D1 junior colleges places Cochise at # 13.
From a personal perspective, I was voted to the 1st Team All Conference team as an outfielder. I was also voted to the 2nd team D1 All Region team and nominated for a Gold Glove Award. Conference statistics included a BA of .343 (36-105 / 13 2B's / 2 3B's / 2 HR / .432 OBP / .562 Slg) I also spent 18 innings on the mound for my team.
My collegiate goals are to chase my dream of playing baseball at the highest level. To identify a good academic university that also has a strong baseball program. To have the opportunity to compete for an everyday position during my college career and hopefully become a professional baseball player as a positional player or pitcher.
I am a good candidate for your team because of my desire to compete and win. During high school I was a 2 year captain and consider myself to be a leader and good team mate.
