Hayden Kalisz '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, 

My name is Hayden Kalisz a 2024 RHP.  I'm working hard daily to play Baseball after HS and beyond.

Playing in Showcase and National Tournaments has given me a taste of playing on College Fields and MLB training facilities.  

I'll meet the goals set by my College Coach to develop my skills and succeed in a superior program.   

Currently, I am developing in a thorough HS Baseball Program at St John's College HS in Washington, DC.   

We train throughout the year across Strength. Agility, Baseball Skills, Field Strategy and Situational Awareness.  

 "School Work FIRST and Grades" always comes before baseball and I'm currently carrying a 3.5 GPA this year..

Update 7/25/23- I've completed my Junior Year with Honors 3.5 GPA and my HS Team won both a Spring IMG National Invite and the WCAC Washington DC Region Baseball Championship.   I also completed Summer Travel Baseball at PBR Lake Point and helped my Team make eliminations rounds.  I threw 89 mph there 7/20/23 9 times.  I was accepted to IMG Academy in 2022 but declined enrollment to stay by Family.

Legacy-

2022-  A recent highlight for me was moving from Freshman Ball into the Varsity/JV Inter-squads and Pitching "Closer" in the season finale at the University of MD.  I am finding my niche as a Power Pitcher and continue working my Off Speed.   Typically, I have been placed in high leverage situations either Starting games, stopping Rallies, or at closer in tight spots.  My coaches say I have "Unlimited Upside" and I am making big leaps across their metrics.  I've reached 6'0, 195 lbs and should still grow to catch up to my relatives.

I also hit a Home Run in my First HS Game.  I am continuously working my timing, load and contact and had the amongst the top average of regular players during my Freshman Summer and Sophomore Fall.  I am a soild First Baseman when not on the mound and "pick" challenging throws consistently well.  I have worked with Professional Pitching Coaches and Hitting Instructors including John Dopson (Red Sox) and Al Bumbry (Orioles) since I was 11.  

I attended and go to Catholic Schools and Chruch and recently did volunteer work at Church over the Holiday Season.  Before focusing solely on HS Baseball, I played multiple youth sports including Baseball, Football, Basketball, and Lacrosse.  Typically, I led the teams in performance and motivating the other players.

I have also helped my Dad with his business.  Responsibilities have included Inventory, Warehouse Organization, product training, and Sales.  I've learned the value of assets and the importance of my Personal and Professional Conduct.   I also help around the house giving me the ability to cook some healthy meals and stay organized.  I will cut lawns, shovel snow or rake leaves when not playing or training since I like to save for my goals.
