Gerald (Tres) Toledo III
Hello there
My name is Gerald Toledo III , I go by Tres
. I have been playing baseball since I was 7 years old . Quickly after I began playing baseball , it became a passion for me , not just playing but training , watching , and being a student of the game . I am 17 years old and live in Valrico Florida . I attend high school at Brandon High school located in Brandon, Fl and play Varsity Baseball . Playing Varsity as a freshman meant where I may have been outmatched physically . I had to be fearless and better than the others . I play to win and I play to be the best teammate possible . Let’s be honest, we all have strengths and weaknesses and knowing that is what makes you successful .
As a Sophomore i focused more on my pitching role ,and became a starter on the mound . My varsity record was 5-1 with 41 k’s earning a top 4 ranking in our division 3A and out ranking several D1 commits . I pitched 1 complete game shut out and lead my team in strikeouts and wins . I was honored with a plaque the best winning record of a pitcher in our school . That was a great accomplishment .
I decided to Transfer schools this coming year to Brandon High school . Brandon is a much larger school ,playing against some of the best competition in the State . Making the decision to transfer was not an easy one , but I want to help them make an impact on the mound for their program and face the best of the best . It was time where I left my friends of 5 years to step out and go to a school I knew no one , but to me I had to . I had to prove To myself that I could face the best and be a part of some of the best high school baseball this country has to offer . 3-1 record with 18ks in our shortened season .
Academically , I bring the same attitude and attention to detail to the classroom as I do the baseball field . I want to succeed and I want to win . I am an honor roll student and I feel there is no challenge before me that I cannot and will not handle. I will succeed if given the opportunity . I’m a true competitor and thrive on the mound in big games and want to go to a school that has a pitching need but also a competitive schedule . I’m willing to work hard and give my all .
I spend my summers playing locally for Game Time Prospects and Nationally for Team Ohio Pro Select .
I train daily at Athletes Retreat with Coach Rigau strength training (941) 518-7544
and my pitching coach is coach Bryan Tollberg (941) 518-7544
Look forward to meeting and learning more about your programs soon .
