My name is Jose Oliva and I currently play Varsity baseball at Nova High School in Davie, Florida. I have been playing ball since I was 3 years old and have been an outfielder ever since I can remember. I am 5’11” and weigh 160 lbs. I can run the 60-yard dash in 6.8 seconds and can throw from the outfield in the low 80’s. I have a true love for the game and never get tired of playing ball. I know that with hard work and dedication I can really get far in baseball.
I am currently a junior at Nova High and will be graduating in 2015. I am an honor student and, this year, I was asked to join the MTL (Mentoring Tomorrows Leaders) program. Although I would prefer to attend college in the state of Florida, I am not totally against going out of state to play ball. I am hoping to receive a baseball scholarship and major in engineering or business administration. I would love to play as a freshman and will work hard no matter what my role is on the team to help make the team successful.
