Andrew Hanlon '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a hard working and determined person who enjoys team sports and I love baseball.   I enjoy the comradery of a team.  I’ve been playing it since I was 4 and playing catcher since I was 9.  I enjoy being outside.  I was the starting catcher on an All-Star team that went twice to the Little League State Championship for Florida.  I have been calling games for the last couple of years and I currently play for a top 20 team called the Florida Burn 2023 National.  I’m hoping to play the game through out my adult life.

I also enjoy working on the fundamentals, strategizing over the game and trying to improve my overall performance. I am very coachable and willing to try new techniques and programs to try and better myself.

I’m a very driven student and tend to perform well academically.  I won the DeSales Scholarship at Bishop Verot High School by achieving the highest score on the National High School Placement Exam(99th percentile).   I scored a 1370 on my PSAT freshman year.  I have an un-weighted 4.0 GPA and a weighted 4.54 GPA.  I’m in the Scholars Program at Bishop which allows me to take additional AP classes as well as honors classes as a freshman. 

In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with friends.

I’m seeking the opportunity to excel academically and athletically at a 4-year college program.
