I still have the dream of playing baseball professionally. I enjoy the hard work that it takes to develop my skills to their maximum potential. I have been coached by a man who sent both of his sons to DI baseball and one of them will be drafted this summer. I have always tried to keep a step ahead of their development, my coach makes sure I'm putting in the right work. So far, I've been able to meet or exceed their development. They started playing Varsity baseball as Freshman, I played Varsity as an eighth grader.
Why does that matter? I know where I want to be and I have a plan to get there. If this happens for me it won't be by accident.
My plan:
1. Be coachable
2. Be a great teamate
3. Be a good student
4. Be honest with my own self assessment
5. Be the hardest working player on the field at every game or practice.
