Personal Statement

I believe that my character and my quality attitude has an impact on everything that I do.

My varied interests and my activity involvement make me an excellent athlete and well rounded student. I am a scholar athlete, a percussionist in the marching band, a former tenor saxophone player in the jazz band, I am a member of the Key Club, The FHHS National Honor Society and a new basketball player. I love to be involved and challenge myself to try new things.

I believe that having a positive attitude is huge when combined with determination, drive and overall athleticism. In addition to my character and approach, I thrive on high pressure situations. As a primary relief pitcher, my ability to maintain composure and control the outcome of a tight game is where I shine. My demeanor and persona solidify my belief that I will be a great addition and a quality asset to any college baseball team.

David Goldapper is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Fountain Hills, AZ who attends Fountain Hills. Large frame with an athletic profile. Ran a 7.60 second sixty yard dash. Primary Left-Handed Pitcher, simple delivery staying rhythmic in the actions. Up high in the release from a three-quarter slot. Whip to the arm as the baseball jumped out of hand. Fastball up to 87 mph with spin rates peaking around 1,800 rpm. Sells the changeup really well and had guys swinging over it. Upper-70's with spin in the 1,300 rpm range. Rounded off the arsenal with a slider in the low-70's. Feel to spin at times, mainly using it to keep hitters eye levels off his other two pitches. Knows how to pitch and dominated hitters. Big upside on the mound. Secondary Outfielder, sitting back a bit letting the baseball come to him. Clean gather and a real clean arm stroke. Accurate to the bag with carry on throws. Young footwork but flashed great arm strength. Left-Handed Hitter, wider base with high hands. Small hover trigger as he drifts to front side. Looks for the upper half to generate bat speed. Gets downhill at times looking to drive it up the middle. Great Student. Named to National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Top Prospect List.

Goldapper proved to be a legit southpaw on the mound with big upside. Smooth arm stroke as he hides the baseball well. Feel for a three-pitch mix. Fastball up to 87 mph working off of it well. Flashed a fading changeup in the upper-70’s and a sharp breaker at times in the low-70’s. Projectable actions and a prospect to monitor going forward. Top Prospect Team:2024. Only LHP in top 20/ 624 event participants. For fb velo.
