Hello- My name is Robbie Lane; I am currently a freshman and attend Claxton High School in Claxton, Georgia. I was born on June 3, 2004, in Savannah Georgia. I am currently 5'6'' and 145 pounds. I am a right-hander thrower and right-handed hitter. My primary position is shortstop and secondary is second base. I can also play outfield and pitch (utility). The best thing about me is my love and passion for the game. I'm dedicated to baseball and love to work each day to see myself grow and get better at what I love. With love for the game, also comes respect. I respect the game like I respect my father and mother. I have always learned, if you disrespect the game, it will come back to bite you. When I am not playing baseball I like to fish, hunt, and train. I train usually around 5 days a week at the local gym with fellow teammates and classmates. I also hit either at my house, in my batting cage, or at our school field at least 5 days a week as well. I live, sleep, and eat baseball. My free day comes on Sunday when I attend church; this is the place I get to thank and worship the Lord above which has given me these talents at baseball. If it wasn't for Him, I wouldn't be where I am today. Also on this day, I spend time with my family. We always have a good time joking around and messing with each other and we always argue which sibling is the smartest or the most athletic. That's one thing about my family that we take seriously and that is our grades. My Dad pushes us hard every day about our grades because academics come first. Without good grades, you can't go anywhere. He is also the same about baseball. Drive, grind, and work is what gets you places and that's my life. Another key thing that my father reminds me is that height doesn't matter in baseball. What matters is work and dedication and I have lived that my whole life. I would love to attend college and I would prefer to study in the medical field. I want to use my education to the best of my abilities just like my talents. I will never settle for less and will always go far and work hard and that's why I'm so different from everyone. Being a humble, hard working, and coachable kid will always lead to success. Respectfully submitted Robbie Lane.
