January 2019Personal Statement
My goal is to not only make it to the big leagues but also to inspire those younger than me to attack their dreams and achieve them. As I am apart of the minority as well as an Asian American, there are not a huge amount of athletes of the Asian race. I believe that for me being able to get into college and play college baseball, I will be able to inspire those who are younger than me that have been told plenty of times that they cannot make their athletic dreams come true that they can and will. All it will take is hard work and dedication to achieve it. I also hope to become the first full Vietnamese American to play in the MLB. This is a dream I have been looking forward ever since I was a kid and if I am able to achieve it, it would not only mean everything to me, but to my parents as well. They have sacrificed a lot for me and I am doing this for them. Thank you for giving your time to read.
