Matthew Brown '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing baseball since the age of 5, and I genuinely love the game. I have developed into a well-rounded player with a strong baseball IQ. In my spare time, I like to watch videos to learn more about the game and gain more insights to better my performance on the field. I have a strong work ethic, am a great teammate who is very coachable, and would be a solid asset to your team.

I have competed at the travel ball level since I was 11 years old. As much as baseball is my passion, staying focused on education is also essential. I always try to be a good student and have maintained a 3.78 GPA. Working hard and playing hard on and off the field are qualities I try and live by.

To date, I have received 13 Perfect Game (PG) All-Tournament Team awards and appeared in 40 PG articles, mainly as a top leader in hitting. I was also awarded the Walton High School Excellence in the Classroom 2019-2020 as a Freshman.

I want to continue my love for the game by playing at the college level. Besides my athletic abilities, I bring other essential qualities such as a positive attitude and high moral values. I am looking forward to finding a school that will allow me to have a full college experience that consists of a great education while fulfilling my dream of playing at the next level.
