My name is Dario Cristofaletti. I was born in Atlanta, Georgia. I am half Italian and half Mozambican. I grew up mostly in Shanghai, China where I moved to when I was around 5 years old. I lived there for almost 10 years. I played soccer for most of my life, starting when I was around 4 years old. I love to play soccer. It is my favorite sport, and I would love to keep playing for the rest of my life.
I practically grew up in 4 different countries on 4 different continents. I was born and lived in the USA until I was 5 years old, then lived for 10 years in China and now back in Atlanta since last Summer. Because of my family background, since I was born I traveled back every year to Mozambique and Italy where I have family and friends to spend time and cherish the relationship with them. This continuous and enriching multicultural exposure defines the young man I am today and gives me the strength and courage to undertake difficult challenges and adapt through my flexibility to complex environments.
I am currently a Junior at Walton High school but I was born in 2004, which means that I am 2 years ahead academically. This means that I will go to college in 2020 when I will be only 16 years old. I also play for the Walton High school JV soccer team.
Over the course of my life, I have played for various soccer teams and experienced this sport in different countries such as China, Italy, and the USA. I played for various teams such as Aksil, Hattrick Fc, and Juventus Academy Shanghai. I have also attended many soccer camps such as Venezia Fc soccer camp, Juventus Academy Shanghai soccer camp, and Juventus Summer camp in Folgaria, Italy. During my time with Juventus Academy Shanghai, I played in many tournaments including Asia's largest youth soccer tournament, JSSL 7s Tournament located in Singapore.
Halfway through 2019, I moved to Marietta, Georgia. I moved to the US to finish my last 2 years of high school and move on to playing soccer and studying at a university here in the US. Being recruited to play NCAA soccer means a lot to me as it can bring me advantages such as giving me the opportunity to attend good colleges and build my career in the future and taking a shot at playing soccer professionally.
