Matteo La Fratta '23 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play baseball for as many years as possible and at the highest level I can.

I’ve been playing since I was 5 years old and I’ve played on a number of all-star and travel teams in North Georgia. At 10 years old, I moved to London, England and I played on an 11u team that won the Great British national championship. I also played and won an international tournament in Spain. After being overseas for two years, returning to Georgia was a challenge from a ballplayer perspective. This drove and motivated me to work extra hard to play at the level of the competition surrounding me. That meant taking lessons weekly, studying my swing, and elevating my skills to become the best player I could be. Over time I improved my game and worked my way up from AA, to AAA, to major level travel teams. I developed a deep passion for the game, a desire to win and a skill set to make it possible. 

I give back to the game by lifting up my teammates and volunteering for organizations such as The Miracle League.
