My Name is Maya Johnson and I am currently a junior at Singapore American school. I currently live abroad in Singapore and have also lived in Stockholm, Sweden, but mainly Dallas, Texas. I love living abroad because I have been able to experience the whole world and I'm still pretty young.
Since I have lived in Texas for most of my life, I've been exposed to some really good, competitive volleyball. Choosing to play volleyball when I was 9 was the best decision I‘ve ever made. After a year of playing recreational, I decided to start playing club volleyball. It's been an incredible experience, from going to qualifiers and every year being able to go to nationals, and now enjoying great success at the high school level (we won IASAS for the second year in a row, I made all-conference and won the coach's choice award). I love what this sport has been able to give me and I can't wait to continue in college.
