September 2017Personal Statement
My name is Dalton Brooks. I am a pitcher in the class of 2019. I attend Northgate High School and have played for the school since 8th grade. I am on the varsity team as a pitcher, first baseman, and an outfielder. As a 6'1", 170 lb player, I am working toward a baseball scholarship particularly in the southeast. I am open to quality academic schools with great baseball programs.
Over the summer and fall, I played with the Atlanta Baseball Academy (ABA) based out of Tyrone, Georgia. As a pitcher, in two of my starts particularly, I had 10+ strikeouts per game, less than 1 earned runs in each of those games, and pitched complete games in both. Currently my fastball has topped at 88 MPH, a 78 MPH changeup, and 75 MPH curveball. I love the game of baseball and definitely want to continue my baseball career well beyond the high school level. I am confident that with hard work and my abilities that can become true.
