I define myself as a player by displaying constant hustle, toughness, and baseball IQ. When I am playing Outfield, I see myself as the field general. I lead my teammates by the example I show through my attitude and effort. Coaches appreciate that I am always working hard and am willing to listen to their instruction. I work hard to continually improve my game. I know that there is always someone vying for the same spot at a university that I am, and I do not want my lack of effort to be what allows someone else to potentially take my spot. My coaches have always told me that, “someone is always watching.” Because of this, I strive to conduct myself in a manner that shows that I have true character on and off the field. Baseball has always been apart of my life. I started playing baseball when I was four, and I haven’t stopped since. People have told me that I am smooth or that the game just looks easy to me. While playing does come to me more naturally than some, I have worked hard to get where I am, and I will continue to work hard to get where I want to be. Coaches should know that I love this game with all my heart. I was never forced to play baseball. I play this sport because I love it. I desire to play at the next level more than anything and will work to continue and develop, both as a player and a person throughout my high school years.
