Evaluation by Trent Jones, Owner/Head Coach of Coastal Stars 15U Premier on 6/29/21:
Noah is a player with an extremely high ceiling. Although just an upcoming sophomore this year, he already plays the game like an experienced veteran. His baseball IQ is very high and he always knows exactly what is going on in the game and how to best use this situational awareness to his team's benefit. He always gives everything he has and sells out like every play is his last. He is exactly the kind of player you want on your team - coachable, hardworking, and intelligent.
From a physical perspective, Noah has a lot of strong tools, but I would say that his arm is his best. He has hit 80 off the mound, and 83 across the infield. This is using a young body that still has plenty of growing to do as well. Off the mound, he uses a curveball that is one of the best I have seen from this age to compliment his fastball extremely well. Every start that he has had for us, he has given his team a chance to win and has performed outstanding. His strike percentage nearly always tops 70% and he keeps hitters off balance consistently.
Defensively, he is fantastic as well. With a strong glove and arm, he finds outs that many other defenders are not able to. He is best utilized at shortstop because of his constant awareness and plus range.
Offensively, he is consistently one of the better hitters in my program as well. He finds barrels and uses the whole field. He uses an approach that is good for his body type, not trying to do too much and just line the ball off. He is finding his way on base at an extremely high rate.
Overall, Noah is a fantastic player that any program would be thrilled to have. He has all of the characteristics that any coach would look for in a player and more.
