“A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work.” ~ Colin Powell
I have one goal in life, and that is to be the best version of myself in my academics, in my athleticism, and in my overall well-being. I am not afraid of hard work and I am willing to put in the blood, sweat, and tears to tum my dreams into reality.
My grandfather was a contractor and one of the most influential people in my life. He taught me the importance of having a good work ethic and living with integrity. I aspire to follow in his footsteps and to own my own construction company. I plan to begin that journey by learning the trade of carpentry and earning a degree in Business Administration. In order to accomplish this, I plan to study hard and excel academically no matter where I go.
If given the opportunity, I would be an asset to your program because not only am I a highly skilled baseball player, but I am a genuine human being. I have big dreams to play at the collegiate level and maybe someday in the MLB. What sets me apart from other players is my leadership qualities and my commitment to be a student athlete. I will be that dedicated player who at the end of practice when everyone else has called it quits wants to field one more ball or take one more hack and then hit the books. I carry the aloha spirit with me wherever I go and I always play with heart and humility. I strive to get better every day by absorbing as much knowledge and pointers from my coaches and teammates because you can never stop learning. I will always be my authentic self both on and off the field. I am an island boy who is destined to do great things.
