Luke Picchiotti '20 Recruiting Profile

I love to compete, especially as part of a team.  I attended St. Peter from pre-K though 8th grade and learned the value of service over self, making good decisions and pursing goals which many times benefit the larger community.  My mother taught middle school at St. Peter and my father has coached me and many of my friends as well as served in the Community.   During my time at St. Peter, I led my teams to State Championships in Track (Two-time State Champ High Jump & 110M Hurdles, 2nd 4 X 200, 3rd Long Jump), Volleyball( State Champs, All-Tourney), and a fourth place finish in Basketball (All State Tourney team).  I was fortunate to have some excellent coaches that taught me about strategy, technique, and the right way to compete.

My first love, however, is baseball.  My grandfather played in the minor leagues for the Chicago Cubs and my cousins recently had baseball scholarship at Purdue ('16) and Wright State ('13).  I have always enjoyed the fellowship of my teammates and our teams have had success along the way.   It has been my privilege to know that my coaches and teammates have considered me a leader on and off the field.

I am an excellent student and look forward to an excellent academic experience the opportunities which come from my classroom achievements and the relationships forged along the way.
