Personal Statement

My name is Faith Davis, I am 17  years old and am a Senior to-be at Williamsville High School in Williamsville, Illinois. I am a dedicated student and golfer.

My goal is to play college golf. This is my tenth year playing golf, and my ninth playing competitively. I have consistently lowered my average score each year, although the last couple of years that has been a lot harder to achieve that goal.

Each year, I set a goal for the golf season. My 2019 goal was to play several rounds at par, and to keep my 18-hole score consistently in the low to mid 70's. I was able to to play one tournament round at par and shot several 9 hole rounds under par. Several non tournament rounds I was able to come close to breaking 70. My goal for the high school season is to better my performance last year at the IHSA state tournament and finish within the top 10 this year.

In the 2019 season, I played in a total of 16 tournaments, with an average 18-hole score of 79.4. The cap to last season as a junior golfer was a 13th place finish in the IHSA state tournament and being named to the "Best of Preps" regional award for the second year.

I continue to take private lessons from my swing coach Mike Moncel.

Through much hard work I continue to improve my golf game. I am committed to golf and am a very hard worker.

I have been on the honor roll every semester. I was named to the National Honor Society last year as a sophomore. My academic goal is to finish with at least a 3.92 for the current school year. Through a busy schedule of golf and a demanding academic schedule, I have learned to manage my time wisely.

I am unsure at this time, what exactly I want to study in college, but am leaning towards psychology or possibly a science related major. Please feel free contact me if you wish to have any additional information.

Thank you for your consideration and taking a little bit of your time to learn a little bit more about me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
