Hi my name is Dylan Scott (2023)and I’m going into my senior year at Bartlett High School. I’ve been playing baseball since I was 4 and as soon as I picked up the ball I knew this was my sport. I’ve become a utility player, so I can play anywhere you need me, although pitching is my focus. The most important thing that I’ve learned through playing baseball is how to control my emotions and body language. Both can say a lot about you not only as an athlete but as a person too. The biggest obstacle I’ve had to overcome is an ACL injury my junior year right before the Varsity season started. As an active person, not playing this spring has been tough. I do not like to sit idol. So I am working harder than ever to come back even stronger! Academically, I am a solid student maintaining a 3.2 GPA and I am currently looking at schools with a sports management or health science programs.
The most influential people in my life thus far are my parents and my travel coach during my developmental years. They all taught me that hard work equals forward movement. Being a good person and teammate is more important than personal achievements. And failure is just a stepping stone on the road to success. These are lessons I apply on and off the field.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a little about me and follow me on my road to recovery and getting back to play in winter 2022.
